Indigo Shire Council is partnering with GTES to source applications for a well-presented, motivated, professional and highly organized team player, to fill the role of Customer Service Trainee. You will be exposed to a diverse workload and clientele base; be a part of a high performing team which is committed to customer service excellence for its communities and ratepayers over four Council sites and contribute to Councils public image.
This role provides effective, efficient front desk service and support to customers, community and employees through Councils call centre and reception; taking and distributing messages to various departments; providing cashier services; managing meeting bookings; completing and reconciling accounts and banking; and performing general office duties. The role is also responsible for supporting other team members and staff across Council; including library service back up; maintaining dog and cat registrations.
Skills and Attributes:
To be successful in the role you will need:
Demonstrated initiative, time management and problem-solving skills and experience;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with, listen to, and incorporate a broad range of professions, interest groups, and points of view to generate sensitive, effective customer services solutions and effectively manage pressure situations;
Proficient computer and record management skills and experience - particularly MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook);
A demonstrated ability to self-manage multiple tasks in a busy environment whilst maintaining confidentiality;
A current drivers licence; and
Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role is desirable
