A role has become available within our established and busy finance team. You will be reporting directly into the Financial Controller. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate pay of 120 + employees nationally and within the law, as well as:
Acting as a point of escalation for complex queries and award queries.
Must be able and willing to complete hands-on end to end processing of all aspects of the payroll
Generating invoices post pay run completion
Prepare, balance and reconcile superannuation and payroll tax across multiple states
The perfect candidate will be a highly experienced Payroll Officer with a 'can do' attitude, a progressive thinker who seeks solutions and drives the payroll function forward. Additionally the successful candidate will have the following;
Minimum of 4+ years experience utilising payroll systems. Specific experience with Astute Payroll would be advantageous
Demonstrated experience of interpreting multiple relevant industry awards/instruments
Up to date knowledge of current taxation legislation associated with payroll
Willingness to continually develop knowledge of current legislation applicable to the payroll function
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to adapt communication styles to support managers and employees within the business
Proficient with the use of Microsoft and Google packages
Ideally we are looking for a candidate who can commence immediately
Eligibility to work in Australia is required for this role.
