An amazing opportunity for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join Australia's leading cleaning suppliers co-operative delivering quality supply solutions.
Rapid Group is a Co-operative with over 65 wholesale cleaning supply stores located throughout Australia and New Zealand. Our Group has generated sustained growth for over 10 years and this is a new position created to support our member stores by leveraging their collective purchasing power in a thriving industry.
Reporting to the General Manager, this position is available for an immediate start and will be a permanent full time role.
As the Procurement Specialist, you will work closely with the external Preferred Suppliers to ensure our members receive the most cost-effective and beneficial outcome relative to the purchasing power of the Group.
Secure new Preferred Suppliers that add value & benefit to our members' businesses.
Experience & Training
A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar procurement role
Formal training in Procurement
Cleaning Industry Knowledge (Preferred)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Organise quarterly business review meetings (physical or virtual) with all Preferred Suppliers
Manage the content of the Rapid Group Intranet
Maintain supplier pricing within ERP system and aligned with online ordering platforms.
Liaise with Suppliers to secure the best terms and pricing for Rapid Group members.
Liaise with Suppliers to secure specials & deals only available to Rapid Group members.
Liaise with members to obtain information relevant to creating market leverage
Collect and collate data from suppliers and members
Liaise with potential new suppliers to enable preferred supplier applications
Seek and secure suppliers in non-core areas
Monitor Industry marketing to ensure a thorough understanding of the industry
Attend industry events as and when required
Annually review all Preferred Suppliers Trading Terms
Advise GM of member's concerns / issues
Point of contact for members & suppliers
Work with Key Account Managers
Design, Build and Evaluate tenders for the supply of RapidClean private labelled products
Ensure the RapidClean private labelled program is maintained within the terms of the contract
Analyse and secure opportunities to import and distribute core products to RapidClean members
Seek and secure opportunities to provide product exclusivities for RapidClean members
