Solar PPA/ sales manager

Overview

A national solar company is seeking a new Business Development Manager/Sales Manager  for Solar PPA that is initiative-driven and results oriented. The Executive Manager/Sales Manager will be responsible for managing allocated accounts, driving business relationships and working on a fast-paced, effective sales team to support the companys monthly, quarterly and annual sales objectives. The position will be part of a team focused on selling products to residential, small and large commercial and utility scale solar (PV) markets in Australia.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and develop a high performing sales team that is spread across Australia to achieve sales and growth targets. 
  • Develop and expand a sales network by identifying, pitching and building relationships with potential partners and/or customers in key Australian markets through cold-calling, networking, attending Tradeshows, qualifying prospects and closing sales.
  • Develops specific customer strategies and campaign plans, driving leadership in their execution
  • Is accountable for implementing and executing the monthly, quarterly and annual sales strategy
  • Provides regular reporting, including sales pipeline development, forecasting, key account status, market condition updates, sales results and team earnings
  • Efficiently and pro-actively manages relationships providing quotations, shepherding orders through the company process, and providing excellent post-sales service on a timely basis
  • Provides support to the sales team through duties that may include order processing/entry, price quotations, information input and management, database management RFP response, product training or other related tasks
  • Manages daily activities of the operational sales support function.
  • Initiates and tracks orders to completion.
  • Handle and resolve more complex customer requests or complaints.
  • Develops and implements promotional events and interacts with external contacts to increase sales volume.
  • Travel as required

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1+ years experience in sale of solar products
  • Must be familiar with PPA system
  • A strong sales leader with a track record of delivering hands-on sales growth, meeting and exceeding business target
  • Working knowledge of sales and prospecting methodologies
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Strong hands-on experience in establishing and growing healthy sales channels to market through retailers and distributors to ensure maximum sales and minimal channel conflict
