About the role:
As a result of our continued growth strategy, we have an opening for an Assistant Commercial Manager based at our prestigious saw mill in Bell Bay.
This permanent, full time position is a key member of the site leadership team reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, providing key support and assistance in ensuring the smooth operation of all financial functions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Prioritise workflow to ensure accurate and timely processing of end of month journals
Strong involvement in the commercial direction of the sawmill with regards to the annual budget and monthly forecasting
Effective reconciliation of general ledger accounts, accruals, pre-payments and balance sheet accounts
To provide accurate and reliable reporting of expenditure reports for Mill managers and Commercial Manager to assist with financial decision-making processes
To display outstanding customer relationships and management of external stakeholders as required
To be considered for this role, you will have:
Diploma in Commerce &/or Accounting
3+ Years experience within the financial or accounting sectors (manufacturing industry highly desirable)
Ability to meet and maintain strict deadlines along with superior problem-solving skills
High levels of integrity and confidentiality
Outstanding numerical, communication and computer skills Advanced Word and Excel a necessity
A capability to produce high quality work with a high degree of accuracy
