Diesel Mechanic

The Midfield Group is looking to employ a highly motivated individual in a full time position within its Transport Division. This is an excellent opportunity to work on our late model fleet of vehicles and with a team of dedicated workshop staff in both a challenging and rewarding role. An attractive Salary will be available for the right person.

  • Prepared to work overtime and share a rotational breakdown roster
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Experience in using MIG and Arc welding machine

Qualifications and experience:

  • Background within the Heavy Transport industry
  • Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
  • Ability to process paperwork and ensure accurate record keeping
  • Previous experience within the Commercial Vehicle industry is essential
  • Being qualified in the trade
  • Uphold a current Drivers Licence, HC and forklift is an advantage
  • Proficient in removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling and replacing components and parts
  • Knowledge of systems such as, Power and Drive Trains, Electrical, Air Conditioning, Fuel Systems, Emission, Brakes, Steering and Hydraulics.
