Your New Role
DVConnect is a NFP organisation that provides domestic, family and sexual violence crisis services across Qld and works in partnership with other state wide services to deliver specialist counselling nationally.
This role will provide a range of administration support and accounts data entry services to meet the needs of the business and the wider practice team. The ideal candidate will need to work collaboratively, with a positive and friendly approach and a strong focus on internal and external customer service. Due to the nature of our service, it can often be fast paced and a varied role, so someone who can work well under pressure, as well as being able to multi-task is integral.
The key activities of the role will include:
Reception/Incoming Calls - providing a positive experience for all who engage with our service
Providing total administration support for the organisation which includes generating documentation and correspondence, filing, stationery and other supplies, data entry, travel bookings etc
Adhoc support to the Executive Assistant
Accounts payable (purchase order matching/ invoice approvals/data entry) and a small amount of accounts receivable and petty cash and credit card reconciliations, working with MYOB accounting system
Key part of the role is supporting the vital services our frontline staff undertake, so the role will also involve keeping all areas of the office, including the kitchen, clean and tidy and fully stocked
Catering and set up for workplace functions and assisting with events as required
Other ad hoc duties as required to support the overall administration and corporate services functions of the organisation
What You Need to Succeed (Selection Criteria)

Due to the nature of the services we deliver, the ability to manage sensitive information, maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and discretion is critical
Intermediate Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint skills
A natural at building relationships, you'll possess the skills and know how' to navigate around a complex and fast paced environment and buildtrustquickly.
Minimum 1+ year dataentryaccountspayableexperience and desirable to have used MYOB and undertaken other accounts clerical activities (e.g. reconciliations, petty cash, banking)
High attention to detail
Sound written communication skills and interpersonal skills
Built in drive, initiative to be able to meet tight deadlines and able to absorb changing requirements as they present.
Ability to prioritise work and problem solve on the go
Positive, friendly and flexible approach with a genuine desire to support all areas of the business.
Experience within a NFP sector highly desirable
Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
