Furniture manufacturer, admin and internal sales role.

We are Artifex Australia, a leading Australian manufacturer of residential and commercial furniture.  We are strictly wholesale and have been distributing our designs across Australia for over 40 years.  We are one of only a few Australian manufacturers that do everything in house, from cutting foam to making bespoke metal frames, unique timber furniture hardware and quality upholstery finishes.      

We currently have a great team of 20 staff, and are now looking for a Full Time Admin / Internal Sales person with a passion for furniture to guide our team with accurate production paper work.  Bookkeeping skills would be advantageous but not essential. This is a versatile position where the ideal candidate is flexible in their approach, with great customer service and communication skills a must have, a keen interest in sales and an organised approach in implementing administration. Understanding and experience in accounting databases is essential, with the ability to learn new database programmes accepted.  Previous experience in furniture would be an advantage.


  • Organising paper work for production, entering job details into Triumph (database), liaising with clients for accurate information.   Training on Triumph software will be provided.  Previous experience with Triumph will help with the role.  
  • Placing and checking up on orders for materials, checking stock levels, and making sure its all arriving at correct times.
  • Providing Production with accurate information for jobs, making sure they have all correct information.
  • Responding to sales and quote enquiries, helping with quoting.
  • General secretarial assistance to the director and manager.
  • Responding to general enquiries, emails and phone calls as required.

  • A passion for furniture and an organised approach to their work.    
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.   
  • Experience in admin, and secretarial work.
  • Experience in sales, bookkeeping and Triumph preferred but not essential.  
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs such as Word and Excel.   
  • Proficient in social media, internet use and general computer knowledge.   
  • A friendly personality and able to work in a team environment with deadlines.
