We are currently seeking an experienced Finance Analyst in Australia to join the Finance Team of an automotive company ASAP to manage many cost elements as the current resource is on extended leave. Initial 3 months contract with potential to extend. The work is primarily Work from Home/Richmond (tentative).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide finance support on Month end, Forecasts, Budgets and Business plan
  • Explain variance versus Budget & Forecast in the Profit System (Essbase / IMPRS)
  • Complete Month End Accounting & Account Reconciliations
  • Forecast Marketing Fixed Cost, Selling Costs, Cash flow
  • Prepare monthly actual reports/Headcount reports and distribute to operations
  • Provide support on Program plans, review aged items, assist if required - inventory reconciliation
  • Support adhoc finance analysis requests and set up of monthly metrics - Drive ownership of the financial numbers
  • Liaise with India Finance Team as required
  • Maintain sound Financial & Administrative Controls

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Bachelor of Commerce (or equivalent) with a Major in either Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • At least 3-5 years of related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Previous Material Cost and Investment analysis
  • Complete Bill of Material (BOM) management
  • Business reports, detailing deficiencies of processes and procedures
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work within a cross functional team
  • Ability to summarise detailed information and present key-take-outs to senior management
  • Leadership skills - being a self-starter, drive for results and closure
  • Process oriented and attention to detail
  • Dealing with large quantities of data
