About the business


Our client is a leading Commercial / Civil landscape company delivering amazing spaces across South East Queensland. They have a genuine dedication to safety and culture and are looking for its next HSEQ superstar to join the business operations team.


About the role


To assist in the maintenance and co-ordination of the HSEQ Management System to ensure that it remains up to date, and relevant for the Operational Business Unit.  Tasks will include but not limited to:


  • Ensure HSEQ Management System remains compliant to the Standards of AS/NZS 4801, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001
  • Assist with the review and completion of Environmental Management Plans
  • Adherence to the HSEQ Activities Timetable
  • Recording and maintaining formal consultation arrangements
  • Maintaining the Sub-Contractor HSEQ Register
  • Assisting with the contractor pre-qualification process
  • Maintaining currency of the Hazardous Chemicals Register, including Safety Data Sheets (SDSs)
  • Maintaining the Fleet Management System
  • Maintaining the Emergency and First Aid System
  • Maintaining the Training, Induction and Competency System

Skills and experience


  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Significant level of understanding of HSEQ principals and requirements
  • Strong knowledge of the environmental aspects of a HSEQ system
  • Completion of Health and Safety Representative Course
  • Highly developed written and spoken communication skills including ability to liaise with people at all levels in a confident manner.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise, organise and complete work within deadlines.
  • Professional attitude at all times.
  • A proactive approach to resolving queries and problems.

A good team player with a can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
