Administration Officer / Accounts


The Organisation:
Harcom Civil Pty Ltd is a Family Owned Civil Construction Company, operating in Geelong and the Bellarine for the past 50 Years.

The Role:
As the administration officer you will be the lynchpin of the business in a role that has responsibilities across finance, reception, projects and administration. The bulk of the role is focused on Accounts Payable/Receivable, Payroll and Taxation for the business. Also, Project finance including, costing, budgeting and reporting.

To be successful in the role, you will need

  • Permanent Resident of Australia
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with cloud-based accounting software / Xero
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively to achieve targets and deliver outcomes
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Exposure in construction or related industries is very highly regarded.  

You must be able to demonstrate that you have worked in a similar position that has exposed you to financial processing and project support duties. You will also be able to provide examples of, and demonstrate great attention to detail, the ability to prioritize work and the strength of character to question and influence decisions. The nature of the role means you must be able to work as part of a small team, or occasionally autonomously.

Working hours are flexible and can be arranged around school hours, estimated to be around 30 hours per week.

Hourly rate to be negotiated, commensurate with experience.
