Caravan Buyer

The position Available will be a Caravan and Motorhome Buyer, you will be making appointments to go out and purchase for the caravan yard.

Position Objective

Green RV's buyer has the responsibility for the purchases of all used Caravan and Motor homes to be put into the dealerships for sale.

The Buyer works closely with the General Manager to leverage support functions as required, and implement the appropriate sales practices to ensure revenue and profitability targets are consistently met.     

This Sales Executive is often the first point of contact between a customer and Green RV and is responsible for providing the customer with a positive experience. The Sales Executive will provide specialist knowledge regarding products and services, properly explore options, and ensure customer needs are aligned to the sales outcome.  


Key Accountabilities

  • Represent the Green RV brand in a professional manner at all times.
  • Ensure individual sales targets are met on a consistent basis by ensuring customer needs are understood and met throughout the sales process.  Assist the Branch to meet their overall sales target.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing positive relationships with customers.
  • Maintain high levels of prospecting and follow up activity to ensure an ongoing pipeline of potential sales.
  • Ensure that all sales documentation and customer communications are accurate in both content and price
  • Assist Green RV to continually improve by providing customer feedback on products, services and the sales process itself.
  • Adherence and compliance with Green RV policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of sales reporting and other administrative tasks.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with Green RV management and Head Office support functions.

Required Skills

  • Previous experience and success in a commercial sales environment.
  • Well organised, able to meet deadlines and competent in the use of business related technology and systems.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of competitive dynamics.
  • Highly developed communication skills; verbal, written and listening.
  • Goal orientated, able to operate independently or as part of a team, resilient in adverse conditions.
  • Able to build constructive relationship across multiple stakeholders; team, customers, suppliers and Head Office.
