Quality, Risk and Compliance Officer

An excellent opportunity currently exists with a Toowoomba-based Employer of Choice in the community services sector for a Quality Assurance and Risk Officer.  This role also provides executive, secretariat and administration services to the Chief Executive Officer and the Board to support the organisation’s strategic and operational objectives.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Quality Assurance and Risk Officer will oversee the quality management, risk management, internal audit and accreditation functions for the business whilst also performing high level administration tasks, Board support and project management.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Provision of advice to Management and the Board on quality assurance, policy and risk matters
  • Manage the Workplace Health and Safety functions for the organisation
  • Investigate incidents and safety issues, as required
  • Lead accreditation audits and assessment
  • Coordinate Board Meetings, including the preparation of agendas and minutes
  • Manage the Policy function and document control system
  • Assist with the preparation of the Annual Report
  • Research legislation and review relevant changes
  • Provide executive support to the CEO

  Applicants should possess the following Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold or be immediately eligible to obtain a Blue Card
  • Experience with governance processes
  • Ability and understanding of policy analysis, development and implementation
  • Proven research and analytical skills, including an ability to prepare reports/submissions
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, law, public administration, community development or relevant experience
  • Formal risk management and WH&S qualifications an advantage
