We are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Officer to assist our small finance team based at our Perth office in Belmont.
One Tree Community Services is a not for profit organisation that supports community services and childcare centres throughout Australia. We are a rapidly growing organisation, with over 700 employees, split between our two head offices in Perth and Melbourne. As the Perth-based Payroll Officer, you will assist and conduct accurate fortnightly pay runs and processes for over 350 employees under the Perth branch.
Ideally, we would like someone who can commence as soon as possible and is experienced with our employee and payroll management system, HR3.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Payroll Officer responsibilities includes and is not limited to the tasks below:
• Process staff wages weekly and input details on computer, ensuring that overtime, leave entitlements are correctly updated. • Ensure that wages are allocated to correct cost centres and validate general ledger account numbers. • Ensure all payroll deductions and/or adjustments are accurate before finalising pay run. • Ensure pay slips are distributed on time. • Administer and control issue if payment summaries and reconciliation of year end taxation requirements. • Prepare Payroll data for input into Accounting System. • Prepare monthly PAYG returns. • Ensure monthly payment of Super and other Payroll liabilities. • Liaise with One Tree Community Services personnel about payroll enquiries. • Keep up to date with Award and IR changes that may impact One Tree payroll. • Work closely and collaboratively with HR to ensure that all One Tree contractual responsibilities are maintained.
What you will need:
• Experience in HR3 is highly desirable • Related experience in a similar role in Payroll • Strong attention to detail. • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines and ensure accuracy. • Advanced computer skills. • Ability to work unsupervised as well as in a team.
