ABOUT NQBP

NQBP is one of Australia's largest port authorities by tonnage throughput. More than half of Queensland's trade, by tonnage, passes through our ports at Weipa, Abbot Point, Mackay and Hay Point.

THE ROLE

This role supports the Senior Records and Document Management Administrator in the delivery of the lifecycle of NQBP's records and maintain a high-quality records management and document control service across NQBP.    

Other responsibilities are:

  • Reviewing, analysing and identifying ongoing systems improvements, ensuring systems implemented meet business compliance and information governance standards, this includes undertaking audits.
  • Developing and formulating recordkeeping policies, procedures, and training materials for all users to ensure compliance with the Public Records Act and other legislation.
  • Assisting the Senior Records and Document Management Administrator in the management of NQBP records and document control

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To be considered for this opportunity you should have demonstrated experience in Electronic Document Records Management System (EDRMS) and related methodologies and platforms.

  • Experience working with limited supervision controlling workflow and organising work tasks to meet deadlines and achieve quality work outcomes.
  • Experience in maintaining confidentiality and communicating information and advice to a wide range of internal and external clients, both verbally and in writing;
  • Significant knowledge and experience in supporting a records management/ electronic document management system service
  • Qualification in Records Management or other related discipline is desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of record keeping policies and principles including (but not limited to) business classification schemes and metadata standards is desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of and sound experience using government retention schedules and port specific schedule would be highly desirable
