A position has surfaced within our team based in either the Armidale or Narromine office for someone interested in working in the grain industry. Agmark Commodities is a privately owned grain trading company which services its clients across VIC, NSW and QLD with a friendly, professional and reliable approach. We strive to implement contracts which provide maximum value for our clients and pride ourselves in being able to execute all trades and situations.
About the role
The successful candidate will be working in a team to ensure the timely execution of logistics and administration tasks to assist the Agmark team in providing our customers and suppliers with a carefree and professional experience.
Skills and background required
Previous logistics experience preferred
Knowledge of grain production systems
Strong focus on client service
Ability to communicate directly with growers in an accumulation capacity
Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills
Excellent, written and verbal communication skills
Strong IT skills
Team focused attitude
General office clerk duties
Liaising with growers regarding grain accumulation
Plan and execute logistics so that all contracts are adhered to
Execution and reconciliation of contracts for suppliers and customers
Receival, dispatch and reconciliation of customer and supplier orders
Liaising with traders to identify arbitrage opportunities
Liaising with traders to identify and solve contract difficulties
Adopting a flexible approach with customers to accommodate any changes in customer grain demand within reason via regular communication
Liaising with subcontractors for freight movements between supply and end user points
Recording and maintaining key customer data
Seeking to improve efficiency and client satisfaction in the logistics space
This role is in an office-based environment with standard business hours. Though the successful candidate will need to be flexible enough to make themselves available as logistics require. Whilst looked on favourably, previous experience in logistics or the grain industry is not a requirement. However, a willingness to learn, an interest in the grain industry and a strong work ethic are essential.
