The Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA) is Australias leading authority on breastfeeding. ABAs 800+ volunteers provide quality, evidence-based, mum to mum breastfeeding information and support to mothers, their families, and health professionals through the delivery of a range of highly regarded support services including the National Breastfeeding Helpline, LiveChat and mum2mum app.
An exciting opportunity exists for a self-motivated individual to join our Breastfeeding Helpline Services team in the position of Helpline Services Administrator.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Helpline Services & Volunteer Support, the purpose of this role is to provide administrative support for the provision of the Australian Breastfeeding Associations National Breastfeeding Helpline services.
This position will provide you with the opportunity to work closely with a committed and passionate team of both paid and volunteer staff in a high achieving and rewarding team environment.
This role is based at ABAs national office in Melbourne. Employment is for 22.5 hours a week, across 4 to 5 working days. Could suit school hours.
To be successful in this role it is essential that you have:
Proven computer skills including experience and expertise in the use of MS Office and databases and to use data to create charts and reports
Strong organizational, planning and time management skills with an ability to prioritize and manage workload, meet deadlines and adapt to changing circumstances
Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the motivation and achievement of team goals
Ability to both take direction and to be self-directed in the completion of tasks
Previous experience of working in administration, with Working With Children Check documentation and with volunteers are highly regarded for this role
