Apprentice Electricians at TasNetworks have the opportunity to learn how to construct, develop and maintain the electricity infrastructure that comprise the overhead and underground electrical distribution network in Tasmania. An apprentice electrician performs the following tasks: maintaining and building substations, emergency repair work, investigating power supply problems, connecting customers and much more.

About the Business
At TasNetworks, we own, operate and maintain the electricity transmission and distribution network in Tasmania. We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 285,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers.
We are seeking hardworking and committed Apprentice Electricians to join our team. If you are actively seeking new ways to grow and be challenged, bring a productive attitude and strong communication skills to your work, we want to hear from you! You will be physically fit and able to pass a medical examination, and always adhere to health, safety and environment practices in the workplaces. You will demonstrate strong resilience by adapting to the changing nature of your working environment.
To be successful in this role applicants must; have the ability to work towards completion of UEE30811 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician,hold a current drivers licence,have completed Year 12 and passed Maths, English and preferably a Science subject,OR completed pre-vocational studies in Certificate II in Electrotechnology (or equivalent), OR have relevant work experience.
