Can we help "line" you up to ourApprentice Program, you'll work with us to deliver power safely and reliably to Tasmanians all around our great state!
As an Apprentice Distribution Lineworker you will be signed up to a 4-year apprenticeship where we willmentor and support you through a range of different practical and theoretical activities. As an Apprentice Distribution Lineworker you will be given the opportunity to performs the following tasks; maintaining power poles and wires, installing aerial equipment, emergency response work, investigating power supply problems, fault finding and much more.
Once qualified we here at TasNetworks will maintain your qualifications and put you into a role that aligns with your certificate. A Distribution Lineworker works at the heart of our business; they install, repair and maintain the overhead and underground power network that supplies electricity to our customers.
About the Business
At TasNetworks, we own, operate and maintain the electricity transmission and distribution network in Tasmania. We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 285,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers.

To be successful in this role applicants must; have the ability to work towards completion of UET30612 Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems - Distribution Overhead, adhere to health, safety and environment practices in the workplace, possess strong communication skills and be able to build positive relationship, be physically fit and able to pass a medical examination and hold a current drivers' licence,have completed Year 12 and passed Maths, English and preferably a Science subject,OR completed pre-vocational studies in Certificate II in Electrotechnology (or equivalent), OR have relevant work experience.
