The Brindle Group is an independent supermarket chain that operates a number of IGA stores, speciality gourmet grocers and other boutique retail outlets. With our expanding business a new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Payable/Payroll Officer to join the finance/payroll team at our head office based in Applecross.
The person we are seeking must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and oral, can think on their feet and who can use their logic to solve problems. A person quick to learn new systems and processes and understands the urgency that can arise unexpectedly in such a busy environment. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
You will be part of an Accounts team of six reporting to the Financial Controller of the business and working alongside another payroll/accounts officer. Key responsibilities of the role are to provide high volume end to end accounts payable and payroll processing for selected business units; provide assistance to the Accountant and Financial Controller with weekly and end of month procedures including reconciliations and report preparation.
Experience using Attache, MYOB, HR3, Timetarget is desirable
Knowledge of payroll legislation and processes, ATO requirements, IR Laws
Excellent numeracy/literacy skills
Microsoft office capabilities
Fast accurate data entry
Very strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Capable of meeting tight deadlines
This is a fulltime permanent role Monday to Friday, office hours. A police clearance is required for the successful applicant.
