Wine Sales Representatives (Brisbane and Gold Coast regions)
About the business and the role
Select Wines is looking for new Wine Sales Representatives to service customers in the South East Queensland region (predominantly Brisbane and Gold Coast regions) and develop new business in the wholesale wine market.
Our portfolio includes highly regarded wines from Australian producers including Zontes Footstep, Paddy Borthwick, Jeanneret Wines, Thompson Estate as well as international brands including Champagne Bernard Remy, Claudio Quarta, Stemmari and Hexamer Wines.

Job tasks and responsibilities
As our Wine Sales Representative, you will
Achieve sales budgets and provide accelerated sales growth;
Stimulate brand awareness of wines in our portfolio in the on and off premise liquor market;
Increase distribution of wines in our portfolio across all channels;
Wine education including "in store" tastings to support brand growth and foster customer/buyer relationships
To achieve sales budgets and other key performance criteria
Drive, manage and inspire relationships with On-Premises and Off-Premises customers
Maintain a dedicated customer call plan including winning new business in key Brisbane and Gold Coast restaurants
Establish promotions with leading banner groups
Drive sales, distributions and state based marketing activities including wine dinners
Report on sales and trade activity on a weekly basis
Target new business opportunities
In consultation with management, develop strategies for exceeding growth targets
Provide action plans and target lists for key brands in the portfolio
Managing existing accounts and increase customer spend
Develop and deliver effective wine presentations to key customers and their staff
Manage a sales territory
Achieve new distributions of wines in our portfolio
Skills and experience
If you're the ideal candidate, you must:
Have current or minimum 2 years prior wine sales experience, geographic knowledge and account relationships including established on-premise and off-premises relationships particularly in the greater Brisbane and Gold Coast areas, as well as South East Queensland regions;
Have a high level of wine knowledge and be confident to represent our wines to new customers;
Have a proven track record of managing complex customer relationships;
Be able to naturally and successfully influence and negotiate;
Be able to constantly seek out new ideas, keep up with industry trends, and thrive on being one step ahead of the game;
Be excited to be part of an entrepreneurial, collaborative and growing company;
Able to establish a good relationship with customers;
A knowledge of the premium liquor trade, both on and off premise;
Be passionate about selling and have specific knowledge of how to sell wine;
Full Drivers License;
You will operate out of home (you will also need your own laptop/computer and phone, and of course, your car!)
Current QLD RSA;
Permanent Residency and Fluent in Spoken and Written English.
