About The Role:
Reporting to the Senior Advisor Accounting Shared Services, you will be responsible for providing accounting and reporting services for Newmonts Australian operations from our regional office in Subiaco, Western Australia.
In This Role You Will:
Prepare accounting models, reports and analysis to support financial reporting in accordance with USGAAP, AIFRS and Newmont group policies.
Prepare accounting entries and reconciliations by compiling and analysing business information.
Maintain SOx compliance through adhering to internal controls and producing documentation requirements.
Assist with SAP functional testing and maintenance
Respond to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data
Your Skills, Training & Experience Checklist:
Accounting Degree (post qualification experience desirable but not necessary)
Other Accounting qualifications with a minimum of 2 years relevant post qualification experience
Strong communication and organisational skills
High level of professionalism and commitment to a team approach
Be able to work well in a pressured environment with tight and demanding deadlines
Strong analytical skills as well as attention to detail
Ability to set priorities within tight deadlines
SAP ECC and BPC experience and Advanced Excel skills would be advantageous
