Our client offers the complete suite of quality services when it comes to fire protection, specialising in mining and heavy industry. Their specialised trade qualified staff install, but also maintain and provide ongoing support for your fire protection solutions.
  
About the Role
You will be a leading member of the team as a Experienced Fire Technician Supervisor, based out of the Mudgee Branch. Supervising a dedicated team of Fire Technicians, building business utilising your knowledge of the industry as well as being hands-on in the Fire Technician role pertaining to the service and maintenance of essential services including portable fire equipment and vehicle suppression systems across various industries, mainly Mining.

The ideal candidate will possess a high level of Fire Technician experience coupled with leadership qualities whom can coach and mentor a close knit team.

This position is a residential role and candidates must reside in Mudgee Area or surrounds as no accommodation is being offered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of Fire Technicians with varied experience
  • Building business in the region
  • Coordinate service tasks and ensure high standard of documentation completion
  • Drive safety initiatives and compliance
  • Hands-on service and maintenance of portable fire equipment and vehicle suppression systems
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Sound knowledge of Australian Standards (AS5062 and AS1851)
  • Minimum 2 years in the maintenance of vehicle suppression systems
  • Experience with site work on Open Cut Coal mines
  • Excellent leadership qualities, workmanship, reliability, attention to detail
  • A high standard of safety and a commitment to continual improvement
  • An ability to work autonomously, coach lead and mentor teams
  • An ability to prioritise and arrange service tasks and accurately complete service related documentation
  • Manual Drivers Licence
  • NSW Order 43 Coal Medical
  • Work at Heights Certification
  • MDG 25 Safe Cutting and Welding at Mines
