Job Placement Officer/Marketer (Full Time)

echo is seeking an, energetic Job Placement Consultant to proactively market for our DES and JA contracts servicing our Eastern Suburb sites.

The Job Placement Consultant will build relationships with employers and source job opportunities for our job seekers to gain and maintain meaningful and sustainable employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Marketing and promoting the echo Employment Services program to employers by developing and maintaining partnerships with potential and current employers, in order to generate increased sustainable employment opportunities for jobseekers
  • Assist participants with securing sustainable employment
  • Conduct reverse marketing, telemarketing and Cold Calling activities to generate sustainable employment opportunities  
  • Developing and maintaining a sound understanding of the local labour market
  • Negotiation and collaboration with employers
  • Developing pre-employment strategies and providing employment options for employers utilizing the department's suite of incentives/programs to develop group employment opportunities
  • Developing group employment strategies
  • Maintaining  IT systems and internal data base of all vacancy management

Skills and Experience

  • echo is happy to train anyone who has great people skills and the right attitude for the role 
  • Experience with telemarketing and cold calling - desired 
  • Experience in networking and developing networks
  • Experience in achieving and exceeding business targets and KPI
  • Ability to work within a contractually compliant environment
  • Current drivers license
