Northern Rivers Children's Services Ltd is a non-profit organisation providing childcare throughout the Northern Rivers for approximately 2000 children. The position is located at our Lismore Office. The role is primarily concerned with data entry and other administration tasks associates with our Family Day Care Service. However, other general administration roles are also required. Staff work in a relaxed, friendly, and supportive environment.
Title: Administration Officer Permanent Full time
Hours: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm
Wages: Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award 2010: Family Day Care Employee Level 2: $24.58 - $26.81 per hour, plus super, leave entitlements and paid 30 min lunch break.
Suitable applicants will have prior experience in office work. He or she will be able to meet new deadlines on short notice, provide a wide range of support and administration roles within a busy office environment. The successful applicant will be cheerful, have good interpersonal skills and enjoy working closely with other staff. Previous experience in a Childcare office environment would be an advantage but not essential.
Essential Selection Criteria:
Certificate III or above in Business Administration
Minimum two years experience in office work
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information
Accurate and efficient data entry skills
Excellent general computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook
A willingness and ability to learn new administration tasks
An ability to work independently, efficiently and to set deadlines
Good interpersonal skills, including a polite phone and spoken manner, friendly approach to clients and staff, able to respond positively to instruction and guidance in the performance of your duties
Good written and verbal communication skills
Honest, punctual, and well presented.
Proficient use of our database and telephone system (training provided)
Organising training events liaise with venues and presenters, allocate courses and call participants when workshops are approaching. Record attendance and type training certificates
Order and maintain stocks of stationery, equipment, toys, brochures, forms, etc
Perform a range of data entry requirements
Update and create internal forms, documents, and stationery
Photocopying and document assembly
Take minutes at staff meetings and type up for distribution
Take phone enquiries and childcare applications
Executive support to senior staff as required
Filing confidential materials accurately and efficiently
Answer phones, record, and relay messages
Assemble, record, post, retrieve and distribute mail
Purchasing office consumables as required
Any other relevant office administration duty as instructed by the CEO
