Purpose of the position:
Due to growth within our educational services Petrarchs Bookshop are seeking a motivated individual that can continue to grow our back to school (BTS) business maintaining and building on current services.
This roles primary focus will be on organising back to school resources, school liaison and the day-to day management of Petrarchs Educational activities.
During low back to school periods the role will have some involvement in core bookshop activities.
Key responsibilities & duties
Continue to establish and grow educational business by liaising with current school communities and seeking new growth opportunities in ensuring a simple BTS operation for our customers.
This includes but is not limited to sales, school liaison, problem solving, providing guidance and direction to a small team, document control, BTS website maintenance, developing BTS communication material and end of day procedures.
Qualifications / Experience
The Successful Applicant will be able to demonstrate;
Proven ability to work in and lead a small team.
Ability to work independently
Highly organised with the ability to find efficiencies and meet deadlines.
Outstanding communication and liaison skills.
Experience in stock control, ordering.
Experience in Excel and Word with the ability to learn new software.
5+ years in sales, retail or within an educational environment.
A love of books
Drivers license essential
Salary: To be Negotiated
Term: 12-month Contract
Hours: Full Time (38 hour week)
This role will require some state-based travel and weekend work.
