Our client, a Toowoomba-based community services organisation, is seeking to engage a full-time, temporary Events Officer to assist with the coordination and logistics for events scheduled during the period 01 August to 31 December 2020, with the possibility of extension after this period.
This role will encompass (approximately) 65% administration tasks and 35% operational duties over a 38 hour week, which will include some weekend work (so applicants must be flexible with availability).
Key responsibilities will include:
Coordinating logistics for event days, including venue preparation, event set up and opening and lock up.
Administering bookings from initiation to finalisation and preparing relevant documentation.
Ensuring booking compliance including booking payments, debt management, data entry standards and records management
Troubleshooting when incidents/issues occur throughout the course of an event
Undertaking risk assessment and event management plans
Assisting the Venue Operator in ensuring the maintenance of the venue is carried out routinely
Provide administration support relating to asset management and finance
Must be able to work supervised as well as part of the Venue Team
Must be able to work on weekends, when required. Flexibility in working hours is essential to the role
Will be required to undertake a Criminal History Check and be eligible to obtain a Blue Card, if deemed necessary
Must have excellent communication and administration skills
