Business Analyst

AKD is offering an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our Finance Team in Colac to support the continued growth of the business. The position will provide analytical support on key projects across the group and support the Sales and Marketing function with analysis of critical market and economic trends.

The position will best suit someone with a Tertiary Qualification in Commerce, Business or Finance and the key to success in this position will be the ability of the individual to use their analytical and technical knowledge and experience to identify opportunities and provide analysis to support business decisions or proposals.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the position requires a skilled user of analytical systems and tools (MS Excel) as well as being team orientated with strong communication and solutions driven attitude. The individual must be willing to challenge and enhance existing processes and systems and have the credibility to deal with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Development of financial models to evaluate key projects, proposals or strategies
  • Development and maintenance of tools to capture and report on key economic and market data
  • Provide analytical support for strategy and proposal development
  • Preparation of presentations and proposals for key internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain high functioning communication and engagement across all AKD sites.
  • Develop and build on your strong aptitude in using analytical systems and tools (MS Excel)
