Management Accountant (8 Months Maternity Leave Contract)

Were recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant for a 8 month fixed contract to cover maternity leave till April 2021. The role will report directly to the Brisbane based General Manager and report financials to Group Head Office.

The Aramex Brisbane office is located at Hendra, parking available, inclusive work environment in a fast-paced industry.

Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the Aramex Brisbane accounting functions and managing the Finance and Administration team of 6 to ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and in line with company processes
  • Preparing monthly Management Accounts including reporting of revenue and cost analysis as well as other operational KPI
  • Coordinate and manage the various tasks required for timely completion of month end accounts and reporting
  • Assistance in producing the company financial budget and forecasts along with preparing supporting schedules
  • Prepare audit schedules and liaising with external auditors for year-end accounts 
  • Provide financial support/ad hoc reports to various department Managers including monitoring costs with budget / forecast variances and addressing financial operational matters
  • Manage, coordinate and forecast the companys cash flow position
  • Preparation and lodgment of monthly statutory returns (Payroll tax, BAS, Super etc)
  • Reviewing and approval of all company financial transactions
  • Other adhoc tasks

About you

To be considered for this position you will need the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Degree in Accounting with Five years minimum experience as Management Accountant or a similar financial role
  • Strong understanding of business accounting procedures
  • Outstanding Excel skills and familiar with MYOB accounting and other systems
  • High level of attention to detail, organisational and time management skills
  • Solid ability to take transactions from source documents through to the financial statements
  • Ability to work under pressure completing work with high level of accuracy to meet strict deadlines
  • Positive attitude and able to work independently as well as part of a team
