About the position: This is an exciting new full-time position providing a unique opportunity for a decision maker to make a difference in the Tasmanian community.
What youll need to succeed:
Highly developed leadership skills combined with the ability to network, influence and persuade both internally and externally, in a changing environment.
High level written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to negotiate with and influence government and external stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives.
Demonstrated strategic development skills with an emphasis on delivering advocacy and community policy and investment activities that align with organisational imperatives.
Demonstrated experience in corporate crisis and media issues management
The successful candidate will:
Manage and enhance RACTs external government, corporate and media stakeholder relationships.
Lead research, analysis and development of RACT advocacy and community investment strategies, policies and activities.
Oversee and direct stakeholder consultation, including RACTs regional advisory groups, business and community sector organisations and members of the Tasmanian community.
Strengthen RACTs public profile and corporate voice to promote and influence RACTs strategic imperatives and to drive change aligned with RACTs Advocacy and Community Investment Strategy.
Drive RACT public relations activity across a range of corporate, advocacy and community activities to enable RACT to be a leader and first to mind in areas within product offering.
