Job Description

We have a rewarding opportunity for a motivated individual to join the Business Services team in the position of Business Services Support Officer based in North Sydney. 

In this role, you will provides high level of customer service to MLA and its stakeholders through ensuring that invoices are processed in appropriate timeframes and providing project managers with guidance for approvals of invoices. 

 

Key Accountabilities

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Accurately record and manage purchase orders and invoices in the companys finance management system (SAP).
  • Create and maintain purchase orders within SAP in accordance with invoices received
  • Follow up with internal and external stakeholders to ensure invoices are accurate and paid within appropriate timeframes.
  • Provide regular reporting to the business on status of purchase orders and invoices.
  • Work closely with the finance department regarding invoice creation and payment.
  • General support for finance and accounting processes
  • Maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders in relation to the progress of their purchase orders and invoices.
  • Ensure the documentation, recording and retrieval of all invoices are available within MLA systems.

 

Desired Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A strong pro-active team member focussed on achieving the outcomes of the business.
  • A well-developed customer service ethic with proven ability to liaise well with a wide range of stakeholders both internal and external at all levels.
  • Experience in an administration or finance environment with a proven high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage (and prioritise) multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience in the understanding of accounts payable processes.
  • Ability to understand and implement procedures and processes.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook and database systems. SAP and/or SharePoint experience desirable.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.
