Administration/Accounts Assistant

EYLEX is a leading SME in the Australian and NZ defence market.  We specialise in providing optimised communication systems solutions for our end user customers.  We are the exclusive in-country representative for a number of world leading Communications Ancillary OEMs and we fully back our products with extensive through life support services.

Eylex is seeking a motivated & enthusiastic individual who takes pride in their work to join the team as an Administration/Accounts Assistant.  Working closely with the Office Manager this position provides administrative support across the business to ensure the effective & smooth running of the day to day operations.

The role requires a team player who can work harmoniously in a motivated team environment.  Strong attention to detail is required along with a pleasant and professional style.  You will have strong organisation disciplines and admin accounts experience to ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time. 

Key responsibilities include

  • Financial management assistance in Xero, Ostendo and the bank with accounts payable/ receivable, data entry, AMEX, expenses and receipting supplier invoices
  • Customer invoicing, deposits and statements
  • Reception duties
  • General administration tasks and filing
  • Travel & accommodation
  • Assisting with Quality Auditing and WH&S
  • Assist the Operations Department with Admin tasks
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Office Manager to facilitate organisation effectiveness and efficiency

To be considered for the position you will possess -

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar role
  • Proven experience with XERO (essential)
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal and numeracy skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer savvy
  • Ostendo software experience highly desirable, but will train
  • A can do attitude
