Our Export Documentation Service are used when the clients would like our experienced team to become their virtual exports team and manage all documents and export logistics on their behalf.
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our organisation based in Sydney.
Position Summary: Build strategic working relationships with customers influencing decisions and make sound financial interpretation with a solid knowledge of ImpexDocss products, services, procedures, and processes; This role is responsible for targeting, planning, winning and ensuring that the clients are happy clients post acquisition. The target clients will be exporters, exports supply chain and export logistics related business within Australia.
Lead ImpexDocs solution and services business development opportunities (tendering, pricing, presentations) based on customer requirements;
Research and analysis of prospective customers and new business markets;
Develop sales & marketing opportunities to new and existing segments
Work with the marketing other internal groups to develop saleable and cost-effective solutions;
Perform requirement discovery exercises with customers;
Design E2E solution sets and customer targeting (with particular emphasis on key vertical markets);
Negotiate final price and requirements;
Win/close new business to contract completion;
Project management and control of all relevant parties (operations, IT, finance) so as to ensure that once a new potential client and project has been identified, a project management approach will be applied that will involve best practice in a capital acquisition or investment;
Provide a supporting role for rectification and prevention of customer dissatisfaction
Make recommendations on programs and initiatives for the Business Development team with an understanding of exports and logistics concepts, products, and customer qualification processes;
Preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Key Competencies, Education, and Skills Required:
Tertiary qualification (e.g. marketing, international business, accounting or similar);
Knowledge of relevant legislation and authorities which impact on your area of responsibility;
Minimum 3 years of exports and freight, logistics knowledge within in-house and outsourced environments.
Exposure to and experience in complex account sales & management and solutions selling
Expert product and industry knowledge coupled with the ability to deal with clients at all levels and translate client needs into a complete solution;
Costing, pricing and modelling experience;
Process mapping and system analysis experience;
Well-developed conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem-solving skills;
Strong planning, organising, and management skills;
Well-developed commercial acumen, with demonstrable ability to apply business theories to operation and practical situations.
