POSITION SUMMARY

This role combines technical skills in problem solving, customer service, pre-sales consulting and account management. It's a perfect role for anyone looking for variety, a new challenge and the chance to build strong relationships. The Technical Account manager will work together with the project team, service desk and infrastructure team in delivering efficient services to a specified group of clients. Reporting to the General Manager, the role will be integral in developing and maintaining strong customer relationships with existing clients and assisting them in achieving the best from their IT services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage a personal portfolio of customers developing a trusted advisor relationship with key customer stakeholders
  • Operate as the lead point of contact for any commercial matters specific to your customers
  • Technical guidance to customers based upon your deep understanding of their solution and project objectives.
  • Design technical solutions, develop and present Proposals for up-sell opportunities
  • Communicate effectively and clearly technical details with clients
  • Communicate and report clearly on the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Forecast and track key account metrics
  • Assist with high priority requests and issue escalations within the business as needed
  • Identify opportunities for additional customer engagement with project work

 

DEMONSTRATED SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES/ QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a technical role
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a technical sales or account management role
  • Azure technical knowledge
  • Cisco Meraki technical knowledge
  • Industry qualifications (CCNS, MSCE)
  • Client focused Solutions experience
  •  Ability to manage multiple projects and relationships simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management skills
  •  Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  •  Ability to interface effectively and professionally with people at all levels.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  •  Ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders
  • Negotiation skills  
  • Talent for influencing client management
  • Experience of working within a fast pace environment.
  • Energetic with a positive can do attitude.
