An exciting opportunity for an experienced accountant to take on the role of Team Leader / Senior Production Manager in our well established practice.
We pride ourselves on keeping up with technical change. Our staff keep up with regular training and we keep our clients informed and educated as much as we can.
We are primarily a tax practice, with the majority of our work being "compliance" based (i.e. tax returns, financial statements, etc) for individuals, businesses of all shapes and sizes, and self managed superannuation funds. We are expanding our services and opportunities exist to assist with those in the future.
The role is full-time, you will be based in our Carrum Downs office, but may be required on the odd occasion to work from our San Remo office.
Your role will essentially be ensuring that all jobs completed by our team (including yourself) are complete and accurate, ready for our client managers / partners to do their tax planning role. We are adding this role to our firm to allow our client managers / partners to focus on value added work. Any successful applicant will need to help us satisfy this goal.
You will have the opportunity to have input into how best to manage our team, what training they require, what processes and systems to implement, and so on. We believe that if you are going to responsible for the quality of our team's work, you need to have input as to how they operate.
You will be degree qualified and preferably have completed either CA, CPA or IPA requirements.
Xero ledger experience is required, and Xero Practice Manager experience highly regarded but not absolutely necessary if you are a quick learner.
Self managed superannuation experience is necessary as our firm handles around 100 SMSF's.
This is not a client based role. You won't be holding client meetings, however you will need to be able to explain information to clients when the occasion arises (such as explaining the best way for them to process transactions in their accounting software). You will need to be well spoken, and have good grammar and writing skills.
