Greenhalgh Pickard Solicitors and Accountants is a legal and accounting firm with four coastal offices across Queensland, Airlie Beach, Kawana, Caloundra and Coolum.
We are looking for a new Office Assistant to join our growing team part-time on the Sunshine Coast, 3 days per week, 8:30am to 5:00pm. The position will be based primarily in the Kawana office with potential for occasional travel to the Caloundra & Coolum offices and has the potential to grow to full-time.
The role will involve assisting the Business Manager with day-to-day running of the firm. In addition the applicant will also be required to assist with general office assistant duties.
The successful candidate for this position will have:
a minimum of 3+ years experience in a professional office environment (preferably legal or accounting industry);
excellent client communication skills;
a high degree of willingness to learn and initiative;
high attention to detail and organisational skills;
up-to-date and advanced computer knowledge;
experience in marketing favourable; and
the ability to work independently and in a team.
Completing tasks as instructed by Business Manager;
Passing on tasks instructed by partners or employees to the Business Manager;
Completing simple tasks, as requested by employees;
Taking on the tasks of management in the absence, and direction, of the Business Manager;
Taking on the tasks of bookkeeping in the absence of the bookkeeper;
Providing financial information, as requested and on a monthly basis, to the Business Manager;
Providing training and support on the LawMaster system to current and new employees;
Approval/decline of office supplies, such as paper, toners, ink, etc;
Development and refining of new processes as delegated by Business Manager.
Skills and experience
Experience in LawMaster legal software, MYOB, Quickbooks and Xero Accounting Software preferable, but not necessary
Microsoft Office suite experience
