With 50+ locations and a team over 2,300 nationwide, Bidfood is recognised as one of the countrys leading distributors to the industry. An opportunity exists for a full time Purchasing Officer on a six month contract at our foodservice branch located in Toormina.
We are seeking a self-motivated Purchasing Officer, with strong analytical skills to manage the stock levels at the branch and work with all departments.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be required to:
Manage stock levels to ensure customer satisfaction whilst maintaining high stock turns
Negotiate with suppliers for over and above deals
Liaise with all departments in a professional timely manner
Run reports and be proactive in nature
Perform some general administration
Previous purchasing experience
Demonstrated ability to negotiate and problem solve
Computer literacy and competency in excel
Attention to detail
The successful individual will also possess the ability to work independently, have foodservice knowledge, and drive our companys strong belief in customer service.
