About the role

The role requires multi skilling and must be able to provide leave coverage for the other accounts officer roles.  The role includes resident and client admissions and discharges, ACFI processing, month end billing, some general ledger reconciliations, processing of vendor invoices, reconciling vendor statements, banks reconciliations and other filing and accounts functions.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • High level computer literacy, including experience using accounting software packages.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Experience working in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable roles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build a rapport with people from diverse backgrounds and age groups.
  • Ability to prioritise time and organise work schedules.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Awareness of WHS legislation and manual handling procedures.
  • An awareness of, and sensitivity to, the needs of older people.
  • Personal commitment to own professional learning and development.

 

Skills youll need to succeed

 

  • Experience working within Aged Care.
  • Prior experience using Procura, TCM or Emplive.
  • Relevant accounting qualifications.
  • Knowledge and/or awareness of relevant legislation, regulations, standards and guidelines relating to Aged Care.
  • Current driving licence.
