Electrician required For Solar Installation Company.
We are looking for a licensed Electrician for a Solar Energy System Installation Company.
The successful applicant will be responsible for installing and repairing the electrical components of solar energy systems including the connections between solar panels and the installation and commissioning of inverters. To perform this role you need an open, unrestricted license for electrical work. Applicants DO NOT require any form of solar installation accreditation. However, applicants holding either Install only or Design and Install accreditation may be considered more favorably.
The work of an Electrician can often be physically demanding. In order to conduct the required work, the successful applicant will need to crawl, climb and work within confined ceiling spaces and on roofs, be physically capable of lifting and maneuvering solar panels onto and around roofs, and stand for extended periods of time.
Electricians must also be able to understand and make decisions based on standards, guidelines and manufacturers instructions. They must also be motivated to work on their own and as part of a team. Strong communication skills are a necessary part of this position.
Plan and install electrical components for solar energy systems including solar panels, inverters and isolators.
Lay conduits, AC and DC cables, terminate and test completed installations.
Read and comply with mandatory industry guidelines and manufacturers directions.
Lift, position and secure solar panels on roofs.
Perform general electrical maintenance.
Supervise electrical trades assistants
Install circuit breakers, meter neutral links, isolation links and associated parts into switchboards and sub-boards.
Troubleshoot electrical issues using the use of testing devices.
Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
Follow AS/NZS3000 and solar specific standards including AS/NZS5033 and AS/NZS4777 amongst others.
Replace, rebuild and modify switchboards and sub-boards to comply with the QECM and QEMM.
Good knowledge of various test equipment.

Being able to work independently
Maintaining a clean and professional appearance and workplace to favorably represent the business.
Hold an open, unrestricted electrical work license.
Experience working in and with switchboards and sub-boards
Valid driver's license.
The suitable candidate will be offered a full time position servicing the Wide Bay Area with a Salary Package starting from $110,000 - $120,000 per annum. The salary package offered will be specific to your experience and qualifications.
