Sales Person / Business Development

MMEM is a leading trade wholesale distribution business, with over 300 branch locations across Australia, specialising in a one stop sourcing and supply solution, within the electrical, communications, data, solar, lighting and associated electrical component products.

MMEM is seeking to employ a suitably qualified / experienced - Sales / Business Development person, to operate at its Gateshead TLE Electrical site. Key responsibilities of this role are as follows;

  • Management of key sales accounts, to exceed sales / growth objectives.
  • Provide technical advice, in relation to the identification / selection of appropriate materials.
  • Generate quotations for projects and large opportunities.
  • Sourcing of product specific materials to suit specific customer requirements.
  • Direct sales across the trade counter within store.
  • Coordinating the purchasing of key product lines, in alignment with customers expectations.
  • Management of product stock holdings, to support product growth.
  • Identification / implementation of incremental business partnership opportunities.
  • Building relationships with suppliers, to implement new products.

To be successful in this role, the desired person should have extensive experience in the following areas,

  • 5-10 years experience, in an electrical / trade background, ideally within a wholesale environment.
  • Extensive technical abilities, in relation to the selection / specification of Electrical equipment.
  • An ability to interact with customers and suppliers in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Be an enthusiastic person, who is prepared to step up and do any requested task, to ensure the overall team is successful.

A competitive remuneration package will be offered to the suitable party. This will include Base Salary + Site specific Profit Share plan.
