We are a leading marine electronics specialist and due to exceptional growth, require a Junior Apprentice Marine Electronics Technician to join our team. After completing a 3 month probation period the successful applicant will begin a 4 year apprenticeship and obtain a trade qualification and Certificate III in Electronics and Communications.
The role as an apprentice within our company will offer a challenging role with exposure to many different aspects of the marine industry including commercial fishing vessels, tug boats, barges, government departments, super yachts and pleasure vessels of all types. The duties as an apprentice may include: customer enquiries, preparing quotations, supervised installation, commissioning of electronic systems, workshop maintenance and software updating. Once trade qualified, the successful applicant will enjoy great flexibility over their work load and schedule, along with the possibility of branching off into a technical sales role if desired. The career offers a great mix of hands-on and office work, touching on all aspects of the business such as sales, tendering, installation, service and operational issues. This position may involve a small amount of travel interstate or internationally as required.
