About the role
BCE is pleased to confirm the newly created opportunity of Manager – Communications and Media. This role provides specialist corporate capability to develop and implement best practice, effective communication and media strategies, operating frameworks, advice, and services to support and promote BCE’s needs, priorities, and key messages.
Partnering with your General Manager - Communications and Marketing, you will develop communication and media plans that build capability across BCE system and schools. You will embrace the challenge of stakeholder engagement to understand your customers’ business needs, providing specialist communications and media advice, as well as guidance and coordination, to enable and promote key BCE system and school priorities and initiatives.
Leading a Communications and Media work team, you will deliver and evaluate effective internal and external communication, media and social media capabilities and services to maximise media awareness and increase community understanding of BCE strategic and program priorities and achievements.
To guide and enable BCE’s reputational brand, we need an agile and creative communications specialist. Someone who brings innovative thinking and a strong background in organisational brand and media management, as well as internal and external communications experience within large, complex organisations. Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and managing communications media strategies and contentious issues communications within a decentralised organisation is essential. Highly developed written and interpersonal, consultation, facilitation and stakeholder management skills will underpin your success.

To be competitive for this opportunity, degree qualifications in communications, media relations, public relations (or relevant field) are preferable, and a depth of experience in senior communications roles at an enterprise level is essential. Team leadership experience is an absolute.
