About The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated professional to join our Finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the primary responsibilities of the Accountant will involve:

  • Production of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparation of payroll for approximately 150 staff
  • Assisting with accounts payable and receivable, including coding and signing off of invoices and batch transaction positing
  • Ongoing management and use of internal CRM system
  • General financial management including preparation of cash flow forecasts, joint signature on bank accounts and completion of all compliance tasks
  • Preparing ad hoc reports and analyses as requested

Our Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills & attributes:

  • Accounting degree and professional qualification (or working towards)
  • At least 3 years' experience of working in a fast paced finance team
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively 
  • Proven track record of working effectively
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Knowledge of statutory requirements such as payroll tax, workcover and BAS, as well as operational requirements including payroll,  accounts payable and receivable.

The successful candidate will also be required to undergo a Police Check and hold a valid Victorian Working with Children Check.
