Senior Finance Manager-Business Reporting and Process Improvement

It is an exciting time to join Stockland. We are soon to roll out a new finance system that will positively impact our finance function. As a result, we are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join our Planning Reporting & Analysis finance team. In this newly created role, you will be tasked to establish and maintain robust and insightful business and financial results, reporting and processes in the current and Future SAP ( new system) landscape.
You will establish and maintain consolidated and standardised Business Unit reporting activities, including use of analytics to deliver recommendations and proposals alongside driving continuous process improvement and ensuring compliance.
Your main duties will include :
Delivering consolidated results for the Reporting & Analysis business, providing insights to drive R&Os and to support interactive forecasting, and better understanding of key drivers that impact our business results.
Establishing robust reporting processes and outputs across communities, commercial property and overheads. Keeping abreast of industry trends, to ensure Stockland reporting processes are future- proof.
Introducing a reporting framework (including JV reporting) through effective use of current and future SAP data, to allow improved access to data and enable business analytics.
Working with key information users to create reporting that informs performance and challenges future outcomes through analysis and insight. Enabling more effective business decision making.
Improving key business processes (predominately forecasting and Year End reporting), by engaging with State teams, Sales, Investor Relations and broader Group Finance, to deliver increased automation and process efficiencies.
Support the Planning, Reporting & Analysis team to build a continual improvement mindset, to deliver consistent and consolidated business unit reporting and process efficiencies over the long term.
Ensure effective and dynamic reporting by designing and creating optimal processes and procedures for Planning Reporting & Analysis employees to follow.
Appropriate tertiary qualification/s is required
CA/ CPA or equivalent accreditation is preferred
A Consulting background would be highly regarded
Extensive management reporting and financial accounting experience
Experience in a role providing financial analysis to support decision making
Experience in gathering timely, accurate, and relevant data and draw meaningful conclusions from that data business and financial results, reporting and processes in the current and the future SAP landscape business and financial results, reporting and processes in the current and the future SAP landscape
A naturally curious & inquisitive individual with a history of driving process improvement
A proven history of driving process improvement and working in a finance transformation environment( SAP implementation would be highly regarded)
Exceptional communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and influence strong partnerships at all levels across the organisation
