We have an internal opportunity for an Administrative Assistant within the Finance and Property Directorate to support our mission to know and love Christ through learning and our vision to foster thriving Catholic communities through excellent teaching. The Administrative Assistant role focuses on promoting the effective and efficient provision, professional and administrative services of supporting the work and range of functions of the Corporate Services Team. The primary purpose will be to administratively support the day to day work of the Head of Corporate Services in the various roles and responsibilities.

Major Accountabilities

The Administrative Assistant is required to perform tasks which include but are not limited to:

  • Liaising with the Head of Corporate Services to ensure a high standard of corporate service delivery
  • Assist in managing the Team generic email
  • Anticipate the needs and timelines for effective communication and workflow
  • Maintaining accurate records of phone calls and enquiries
  • Ensuring daily checklists and action items are completed
  • Coordinating and updating relevant Corporate Services records
  • Promote and implement Sydney Catholic Schools mission and vision to know and love Christ through learning and Thriving Catholic communities through excellent teaching and learning.
  • Promote and abide by Sydney Catholic Schools values of empathy, curiosity, excellence, collaboration and truth.
  • Any other duties as directed from time to time.

Essential Criteria

To be considered for this role, you will have the following experience, skills and knowledge:

  • Minimum 3 years Admin/secretarial experience in education or corporate industry
  • Advanced level of computer literacy
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent telephone and customer service skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to manage processes and systems to maintain accurate records
  • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Experience in customer service and liaising with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Valid Working With Children Check clearance (WWC) number.
  • Willingness to respect, support and uphold the mission, ethos and teachings of the Catholic Church and the values of Sydney Catholic Schools.
  • Experience working to support a small team (desirable)
