This established practice provides personalized and tailored accounting and wealth management solutions to new and long-standing clients across a diverse spectrum of industries.
Due to business change and growth, an opportunity has arisen for a technical, motivated and experienced SMSF Accountant to join their high performing team. Reporting directly to a partner, this is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual from the South East to consolidate their career in SMSF accounting and have an excellent chance for professional progression.
Complete income tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships and super funds within deadline and productivity targets;
Demonstrated self-checking skills;
Manage and allocate work for more junior members of the team;
Interacts directly with clients and devises solutions or delivers work to create the solution;
Complete complex CGT calculations;
Research and resolve issues associated with client work;
Provide documentation to support returns;
Complete Activity Statements;
Complete financial statements including consolidated financial statements;
Good understanding of source data and research capabilities;
High level of financial reporting;
Excellent understanding of income tax and able to develop multiple scenarios for tax planning purposes;
High level of understanding of tax regimes applicable to client scenarios such a Division 7A, alienation of personal services income, non-commercial loss provisions, small business CGT concessions;
Excellent understanding and application of GST law;
Excellent application of capital gains tax knowledge;
Understanding of Trust Law;
Good understanding of various entity structures and the tax implications of each; and
Attend structured training events.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL
6+ years in SMSF accounting work (not a multi taker)
Confident technical knowledge / attention to detail;
Strong stakeholder management skills;
BGL 360 Experience - software (MUST have). Technology proficiency is a non negotiable.
Lives semi local to Frankston (20-30 minute commute)
35 hour standard work week
Work from their own Office
Leading a superannuation cell team of 2 underneath.
