Bundaberg Tourism (BT) is one of Queensland's officially recognised Regional Tourism Organisations. Our key priority is focused on driving visitation to the destination, as we strive to build and maintain a healthy and sustainable regional tourism economy.

BT delivers an integrated brand, marketing and destination development strategy, as well as supporting a vibrant tourism business community  We also operate the three Visitor Information Centres.

What's the role

The Finance and Office Manager role is a full time position which will see you become a dynamic and integral member of the BT leadership team.  The role is multi-faceted and covers all area's of the organisation, involving management of the financial, human resources, operational and governance functions of the organisation. The Finance and Office Manager ensures BT adheres to all appropriate rules, regulations and processes to ensure the highest standards of financial management, governance and compliance for the organisation.   

The role will suit someone who is highly organised and efficient with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  You will be comfortable being around an enthusiastic, driven and sometimes loud bunch of creative people who thrive on exceeding in delivering opportunities for the Bundaberg Region (and sometimes get distracted by shiny things!).

Why are you the right person for the position

  • You have a minimum of 5 years experience in an accounting or financial management role;

  • You have experience with payroll, budgeting, grant acquittals and financial analysis for business success;

  • You are extremely organised, with an eye for detail and an ability to be flexible and adaptable to change;

  • You have a robust practical knowledge of Microsoft Office applications;

  • You have an understanding of the importance of managing and maintaining positive and effective relationships with members, stakeholders and government partners;

  • You have a proven high level written, verbal and electronic communication skills, with an ability to negotiate and liaise with key stakeholders, and translate between technology and business;

  • You will be progressive, collaborative and passionate about the opportunities for the Bundaberg North Burnett and Southern Great Barrier Reef destination;
