We are seeking to appoint a full time Payroll Officer to join our Australian family owned,  industry leading and highly successful technology focused recruitment agency and national IT Consultancy.

You will play a key part in a team responsible for the overall efficient smooth operation of our payroll function including multiple pay runs and ensuring that Group contractor payroll, invoicing and related client reporting is completed on time and with accuracy.

Individually you will undertake a variety of tasks which will include handling all aspects of contractor payroll from timesheet processing through to calculating remuneration due and making payments, and associated accounts related tasks.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager and based in our Shared Service office in Sydney CBD you will work alongside a highly successful team of consultants supplying some of Australia and New Zealands largest corporations and Government Departments.

Key duties:

  • Delivery of accurate and timely payroll for allocated contractors (PAYG/Corporate/Sole Traders) across Australia and New Zealand for weekly, fortnightly and monthly pay cycles
  • Provision of hands on payroll services to drive best practice at all times
  • Being a key point of contact for all payroll queries
  • Time sheet management for IT contracting staff
  • Ensuring compliance with superannuation and taxation requirements
  • Payroll admin - new starter set up
     

Profile & Background:
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and capabilities:

  • A background in payroll
  • Experience with specialist Payroll software and strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • ANZ payroll experience would be advantageous
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • A proven ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the business
  • Experience in a sales focussed organisation would be an advantage
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Customer delivery focus
