The Beatons Creek Conglomerate-Hosted Gold Project is located in the East Pilbara Shire, between the major regional centres of Newman and Port Hedland, in the north-western part of Western Australia. The project area is situated west of the town of Nullagine (population c. 200).
The Beatons Creek gold mineralisation consists of flat-lying auriferous conglomerate reefs found within the Hamersley Basin of late Archaean-Paleoproterozoic age, within the East Pilbara granite-greenstone terrain of the Pilbara Craton
Beatons Creek Gold Pty. Ltd. is currently seeking two (2) Exploration Project Geologists to undertake exploration activities reporting to the Exploration Manager or delegate.
The Key Responsibilities for this Role:
Contribute to company and statutory compliance obligations through the generation of quality reports.
Contribute to achieve a safe working environment.
Ensure that exploration production targets are met.
Ability to conduct field mapping across both the immediate Project area and regional Nullagine District.
Co-managing diamond and percussion rig and associated logging of drill core and chips.
Trench sampling and mapping.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Degree qualified Geologist with a minimum of 2 years in Exploration.
Strong reconnaissance, technical and project management skills.
Experience in conglomerate Gold exploration is essential.
Experience and exposure to field mapping at varying scales is essential.
Familiarity with MapInfo and Micromine is an advantage.
Competency in safe working practices.
Excellent written and oral communications.
Strong safety culture.
The Beatons Creek Gold Project is located within 5km of Nullagine in the East Pilbara shire. Accommodation and messing are provided in high quality en-suited accommodation located within township of Nullagine. The roster will be 14 days on and 7 days off either as residential or FIFO.
