Customer Service Officer

Our client is an up and coming logistics and freight business servicing Australia wide with a need for an experienced customer service team member who has previously worked within logisitics / freight industry.

This Monday to Friday role can offer career growth and a variety of learning within the services of Road Freight, 3PL (Warehousing and Distribution) National Linehaul Services, Rail Freight, Air Freight and Contracted logistics (Taxi Truck) in every state of Australia.

Your daily tasks will involve:

  • Accurate entry of consignment notes into the transport management system
  • Prepare and analyse local driver Runsheet's
  • Prepare and select on-forwarding carriers appropriate for the freight
  • Sign off driver Runsheet's (ensuring that correct information is listed, Pod's returned signed and dated, hours listed are accurate and pallets have been exchanged)
  • Collate and scan Proof of Deliveries and Driver Runsheets daily
  • Capture ancillary charges (hand unload/tailgate/demurrage) notify customers and advise accounts of the charges
  • Create or amend timeslot bookings (e.g. Kmart, Target, Coles, Woolworths, Costco)
  • Answering inbound calls
  • Provide pickup and delivery ETA's to clients
  • General administrative functions (filing, house keeping)

  • Transport and warehousing administrative and operational experience
  • Self-driven to achieve and drive outcomes on a daily basis
